BCCI Full Form in Cricket is Board of Control for Cricket in India which is an autonomous body for cricket in India. This board was formed in the year of December 1928 and replaced Calcutta Cricket Board.
BCCI is also the richest cricket board in world and also associated with ICC (International cricket Council). But still they can’t decide the policy of International cricket Council. They are responsible to control all cricket tournaments inside India. BCCI decides the team member coach and umpires also.
They make selection of players on the basis of their performance and player comes from home tournament. Along with that, all state cricket associations come under BCCI. The permission of BCCI is needed if state cricket associations want to conduct a tournament. The BCCI officials are elected from the representatives of state cricket associations.
Since 23rd October 2019, Mr. Sourav Ganguly is the BCCI President and he was also a former Indian Cricket team captain.

History Of BCCI:
In the year 1912, the All-India cricket team visited England for the first time and it was sponsored and captained by Maharaja of Patiala.
Then in 1926, two representatives from the Calcutta Cricket Club went to London to attend meetings of the Imperial Cricket Conference. And Imperial Cricket Conference is new name for International cricket Council.
Once this meeting was done, MCC’s decided to send a team to India and the Former captain of England Arthur Gilligan Managed that team.
Then Gilligan met Maharaja of Patiala and promised to form a single controlling body is all lands come together.
Then again a meeting was held in Delhi on 21th Nov 1927 where many land (Patiala, Delhi, United Provinces, Rajputana, Alwar, Bhopal, Gwalior, Baroda, Kathiawar, Central Provinces, Sindh and Punjab) attend that meeting.
Finally, on 10th Dec 1927 all land came to a consensus to create a board for control of cricket in India. Then finally in December 1928 under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act BCCI was formed. The first president of BCCI was R. E .Grant Govan and the 1st secretary was Anthony de Mello.
